The Pleasant Hill Communications Center is staffed by:
  • Four full-time telecommunicators
  • One part-time telecommunicator
  • One reserve telecommunicator

Each telecommunicator:
  • Receives on-going and specialized training
  • Obtains certification to use:    
    •  Various law enforcement computer databases
    •  Advanced medical dispatch systems

All calls for service originate at the dispatch center. When you need help from the Police Department, Emergency Medical Service, Fire Department, or Animal Control, the Pleasant Hill Communications' staff are the professionals you will be talking to.

What We Use
  • The Zetron 4020 Radio handles eight frequencies and direct paging which allows dispatchers to communicate to the necessary city agency at the touch of a button.
  • Sophisticated Computer Systems that include dispatch software and a records management database. This system is used to log and monitor all department activity.
  • Enhanced 9-1-1 Public Service Answering Point which allows dispatchers to see who is calling and where the call is coming from.
