Our city has a workforce of over 80 full and part time employees that work diligently to make Pleasant Hill one of the most livable cities in the USA today!
Pleasant Hill is governed by a mayor and four member city council with a full time city administrator. The city is protected by 24 hour, 911 dispatching service, four full-time and forty- four volunteer fire fighters as well as a full time ambulance service. The police department consists of a chief and ten full time officers, supplemented by four reserves. The department has recently implemented a comprehensive community policing program.
